<body> <h1>Flight Inspection Services and Flight Calibration Background</h1> <P>Flight Precision Ltd (FPL) provide Flight Inspection Services and Flight Calibration for Air Navigational Aids all over the UK as well as abroad. A joint venture company formed in 1993 and is owned by FRAviation Group Ltd (UK) and Aerodata AG, its purpose, to carry out flight inspection services of airfield and en-route navigation aids. </P> <H2>Flight Precision Ltd</H2> <P>In October 1996 FPL acquired the assets, staff and contracts of the Civil Aviation Authority's Flight Calibration Service (FCS). FCS had been supplying high quality services to its customers for 50 years. From 1947 to 1993 as the Civil Aviation Flying Unit (CAFU) it was based at Stansted airport, and from 1993 it relocated to Teesside airport (Now Durham Tees Valley Airport) as FCS.</P> <P>In May 1998 FPL acquired the assets, staff and contracts of TRACE Worldwide in the UK, Belgium and Germany. FPL is the UK's flight inspection services provider and is committed to offering value for money flight calibration services through the experience of its staff and the resources of its parent organizations.</P> <P>FPL has provided it's services to the MoD since 1996 when they won the contract against competition from the existing service provider. During this time FPL has provided it's services at MoD facilities in the UK, Germany, Cyprus, Gibraltar, The Falkland Islands, and in addition Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Pristina and Basra immediately after hostilities ceased. </P> <P>During the same period FPL has consolidated its position in the UK, Europe and elsewhere, as one of the most experienced and expert organisations in the sphere of civilian Flight Calibration and Inspection. </P> <P>FPL holds approvals/permits from the following organisations:</P> <P><ul>UK CAA Safety Regulation Group CAP 670.</ul> <ul>UK MoD.</ul> <ul>Isle of Man.</ul> <ul>Danish Civil Aviation Authority.</ul> <ul>Nav EP- Portugal.</ul> <ul>Norwegian CAA.</ul> <ul>British Standards Institute, BS EN ISO 9001:2000 .</ul> <ul>Germany DFS*.</ul> <ul>Irish Aviation Authority*.</ul> <ul>Belgocontrol*.</ul> <ul>Belgian Air Force - FAeB*</ul> <ul>Lithuanian DGCA*.</ul> <ul>Office National des Aeroports, Morocco*.</ul> <ul>The Netherlands - NLR and Netherlands ATC*.</ul> <ul>Hellenic Air Force*.</ul> </P> <P>* (referred)</P> <P>FPL's procedures for the calibration of radio air navigation stations are customer driven and based on the ICAO recommendations (DOC 8071), UK CAP 670, the FAA flight inspection manual and correspond to the requirements of NATO STANAG A Et P-1(B).</P> <P>Currently employing 4 aircraft based at Durham Tees Valley Airport and a back up aircraft, based in Germany, FPL also uses a third party aircraft in the Falkland Islands.
